Hawaii

It would be great to say that Hawaii was relaxing, but by this point in our journey, we were feeling the time differences and were ready to plant our feet more firmly down. Waikiki is beautiful and was a first for all of us, but we spent most of our time getting HI driver's licenses, eating out at as many places we could before we moved to land with no restaurants, and shopping for last-minute conveniences that we knew were not waiting for us at our final destination. Another prayer was answered....both older kids learned to stick their heads under water (and like it) and swim a little, great preparation for the life awaiting us. The next time we see Hawaii, sadly Walmart, Starbucks, and Cheesecake Factory will win out over any beach setting. :)
